Connecting Instagram, Facebook and Threads

Instagram needs a professional account; Facebook publishes to a Page you manage; Threads uses your Threads profile.

What you see

Instagram, Facebook or Threads won't connect, or connects but can't publish.

  • No Facebook Page token was returned. Confirm the connected user manages a Page.
  • Instagram doesn't support text-only posts — add a photo or video to publish to Instagram.

Why it happens

Each connects separately. Instagram signs in with Instagram directly and publishes to an Instagram professional (Business or Creator) account; it doesn't need a Facebook Page. Facebook publishes to a Facebook Page, not a personal profile. Threads signs in with its own login. Instagram is on the Creator plan and above; Facebook and Threads are on every plan.

How to fix it

  1. For Instagram, switch the account to a professional account in the Instagram app's settings, then press Connect.
  2. For Facebook, make sure you manage the Page you want to post to, then press Connect and allow access to it.
  3. For Threads, press Connect and sign in with the Threads profile you want.
  4. Check the account name shown on each card after connecting.
  5. If a card shows Unavailable, that platform isn't open for new connections yet. Nothing on your side will change that.
