Podcast RSS feed: setup and submitting to Apple and Spotify
The RSS feed is on Studio and above. Set up your show, add episodes, then submit the feed URL once to each directory.
What you see
Podcast feed setup is locked, artwork is rejected, or you're not sure how episodes reach Apple and Spotify.
- Podcast hosting is available on the Studio plan and above.
- Podcast artwork must be square. That image is 1200x800.
- Only episodes uploaded to the Podcast section can go in the feed.
- This episode is still processing.
Why it happens
Apple and Spotify don't take uploads from Clepora. They read your RSS feed URL and pick up new episodes on their own. The feed is on Studio (25,000 downloads a month) and Agency (unlimited). Uploading and clipping episodes works on every plan.
How to fix it
- Open Podcast and expand "Podcast feed — publish to Spotify, Apple and Overcast".
- Fill in the show details. The owner email is public in the feed, and it's where Apple and Spotify send your ownership code.
- Pick a category from the list, and upload square JPEG or PNG artwork between 1400×1400 and 3000×3000.
- Add episodes to the feed. Only episodes uploaded in the Podcast section, and finished processing, can be added.
- Copy your feed URL and submit it once in Apple's and Spotify's podcast submission pages. New episodes then appear automatically.
- Moving to another host? Enter the new feed address under "Moving to another host?" and leave the redirect in place for at least a month.
