Sign-in asks for a code from a new device

Signing in from a device or browser Clepora doesn't recognise sends a 6-digit code to your email. It expires after 1 minute.

What you see

After entering your password, Clepora asks for a verification code.

  • Invalid or expired code.
  • Code expired. Request a new one.
  • Enter the verification code.

Why it happens

A sign-in from an unrecognised device or browser needs a code, so a stolen password alone isn't enough. The code goes to your account email and lasts 1 minute. If you turned on two-factor authentication, you use that method instead. Clepora also emails a new-device sign-in alert.

How to fix it

  1. Check your account email, including spam, for the 6-digit code.
  2. Enter it within a minute.
  3. If it expired, press Resend code and use the newest one.
  4. If you use an authenticator app, enter the code from the app instead.
  5. Can't reach that inbox? Contact support.
